Laguna Seca and the monumental Monterey Car Week go hand in hand. Without a doubt, the most special races to grace the track are the historic racecar events. Everything on those cars has been meticulously preserved, from worn leather seats to race-born scratches. For years, old race cars were just that. Forgotten machines relegated to museums, private collections, left covered in dusty garages and even tucked away in barns. Thus, was the beginning of Monterey Car Week.
